Quality & Safety > Awards North Carolina Awards for Excellence:The North Carolina Awards for Excellence (NCAfE) process is a cooperative industry, academic, and government initiative to improve organizational competitiveness and to provide recognition for performance excellence. Examiners are trained to evaluate, comment upon, and score each participant's criteria response and prepare feedback reports for participants. The program was initially formed in 1989 as a foundation through an executive order of the governor. It was transferred to the Industrial Extension Service (IES) at North Carolina State University in 2001.
On November 1, 2007, Press Ganey Associates, Inc. named High Point Regional Health System a 2007 Success Story Award Winner. Press Ganey currently partners with more than 7,000 health care facilities—including nearly 40 percent of U.S. hospitals—to measure and improve the quality of their care. The company’s databases are the largest in the industry, and allow facilities nationwide to benchmark their results against peer organizations. |
